I am currently using Proactiv and I must admit that my skin appears worser than it did when I first started. However, this is only my third day and I am going to at least try it for two weeks before I dump it. I will let you guys know how it turns out.

I have been using proactiv for over one month and my skin is still not clearing up. I feel so intimedated (?) when I see the commercials and get so agrivated that my skin can’t be like that. I’ve used over the counter products that worked better than proactiv that made my skin clearer and worked faster. the only reason I had stopped using it was because my mom wanted me to use an actual system.
Can anyone help?

Annoyed-Get a real medication like accutane. Guaranteed to clean up your skin. Ask your dermo first. I used it and within 2 months I was completely clear.

i tried proactiv and at first and yeah it worked..the problem was that if i missed 1 DAY to put it on…bamm i got more pimples and stuff so i canceled it!im using clinique and its just perfect

Mii cousin used Proactive for a few months and believe me he had the WORST pimples possible, it was like pimple planet or sumthing.
After using Proactiv for a few months his skin was AMAZING! it was so smooth and shine free.
but after stopping using Proactiv for a week his pimples are worst than before! so if you try it out make sure you’re going to commit!

I think use of Proactive solution is great remedy to get rid of Acne. But as Teeks said his cousin again caught by Acne badly than before, hence i recommend to consult with your beautician or skin specialist to know more about skin requirement and then decide which Proactive beneficial for you.

You guys if anyone is fed up with acne, it’s me. i’m a sophomore in high school and i’ve had acne since 8th grade. i used special medications and oral medicine. i got proactiv one week ago, and let me just say before your skin gets better, it sometimes needs to get worst first. mine did and i can already notice my skin clearing up. just at least give it a chance. it won’t work in a day.

Please do not purchase ProActive or any of the other topical agents that promise to clear up your skin. This is only temporary relief from a far worse problem. Everyone needs to understand that acne is internal. If you do not fix the problem inside your body, there is no soap in this world that is going to help it. The strongest oral acne medication on the market is Accutane (isotretnoin). This is a remarkable product that will clear up your skin in 4-6 months. This is only because it reaches the root of your problem. Since there is no cure for acne, there is still a 50/50 chance of the acne to reoccur. Before you waste anymore money on these topical products promising you clear skin, talk to your dermatolgist and get the facts on what causes acne.

Ive been using proactiv for about 3 weeks now and I got to say at first I was breaking out more but I think its because its trying to get all your pimples out the way like purge them out, but now I’m starting to notice that there all drying up and there almost gone! now all I pretty much have are a lot of scars but that will fade eventually. I’m really excited to finally have clear skin cuz I’m really getting tired of people stoping me in public trying to give me home remedies for acne and what they dont understand is that everything doesn’t work for everyone, I know their trying to help but honestly its embarrasing! sorry for going off topic but bottom line is if your using proactiv you gotta give it more than a week or a few days, dont expect miracles it won’t clear in a day and most importantly you gotta b consistent!

I have been using pro-activ for about 3 years. It has helped a lot. But you do have to be incredibly consistent. I stopped using it for a few months and it got worse. But, I don’t have bad acne at all just a few here and there. It has made my skin much, much smoother though.
I am just scared because it seems like pro activ is not healthy for your skin. I want something that will treat my skin with care. Seems like all I’m putting on my skin is chemicals.

I’ve been using proactiv for a 1 1/2 year. From all the products I used before, this one make me feel better. I almost forgot that I have a problem. Last November 2008, my acne start again. I decided to go to a dermatologist, she gave me ProOxy products plus Diacneal,I can’t believe that my face become worst than ever before. I will go back to proactiv, hope it can help me again. Proactiv cannot clear your face. It will only help you from your breakouts and fade some minor scars. Gudluck to me

CALM DOWN, people.
Sure, proactive works, but it depends on your body chemistry. if you can use proactiv in the winter chances are you wont be able to in the summer and vicea versa. switch it up, go back n forth between Proactiv and another cleanser.
